This course examines commonly held beliefs in youth sport coaching and the scientific evidence that contradicts these myths. Following current research evidence and the practice of sport science professionals, this course provides information that teachers, coaches, and parents can apply to improve their coaching practices and facilitate better psycho-social and performance outcomes for young athletes. Practical coaching tips are discussed that facilitate learning, performance, enjoyment, and developmental outcomes for all in youth sport. Grading: A-F grading only. Equivalent Quarter Course: KIN 7831.
